About Me

 I hold a first degree in Law and a Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling (awarded with Distinction).

I have travelled meandering paths in my personal and professional lives. Before arriving at counselling
I practised as a Criminal Barrister for many years and volunteered as an advocate for victims of violence before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. I have also been a full-time parent, during which time I volunteered as a publicity rep for Plan International UK and as a safeguarding officer with a local children’s charity. Along the way, I encountered challenges that felt overwhelmingly difficult and prompted much self-examination and re-evaluation. Having my own personal counselling enriched my life and I am now committed to supporting others in a way that I find profoundly meaningful and deeply rewarding.

Whether as client or counsellor, I value the opportunities counselling affords in a world of increasing social disconnection, superficiality and intolerance to connect honestly, one-to-one, with another human being.

I am immensely grateful to my clients for placing their trust in me and inviting me to come alongside them as they move through their own challenges. 

Outside of counselling I am a keen cook, zumba enthusiast and yoga novice. I love all sorts of music. I enjoy walking and cycling in nature, and reading poetry and autobiographies. I am striving everyday for an increasingly compassionate relationship with myself, which I believe enriches my relationships with others, both within and beyond the counselling room.
